Purpose-Built for Lone Worker Safety

Every feature designed to protect workers operating alone in hazardous or remote environments.

Timed Check-Ins

Configurable check-in intervals with countdown timers. Workers confirm safety status via mobile app. Missed check-ins trigger immediate automated escalation.

Intervals from 15 minutes to 8 hours

SOS Panic Button

One-tap emergency alert accessible from any screen in the app. Instantly notifies all designated supervisors with the worker's GPS coordinates and status.

Sub-second alert delivery

Live GPS Tracking

Real-time worker locations displayed on an interactive map. Geofencing capabilities alert supervisors when workers enter or leave designated zones.

Configurable geofence boundaries

Gas Detection Integration

Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) integration with industry-standard gas monitors including RKI GX-3R Pro and Blackline G7c. Monitors H₂S, CO, O₂, and LEL in real time.

BLE pairing with RKI & Blackline devices

Automated Escalation

Multi-tier escalation chains triggered by missed check-ins, SOS alerts, or gas threshold breaches. Configurable notification methods: push, SMS, email, and phone call.

Up to 5 escalation tiers

Satellite Communication

For workers in areas without cellular coverage, WAM supports satellite-enabled devices to maintain check-in and SOS capabilities in the most remote locations.

Coverage in zero-cell zones

How It Works

From shift start to incident resolution — a continuous safety loop.

01

Worker Starts Shift

The worker opens the WAM app and begins their shift. The system logs their starting location and activates the check-in timer based on their assigned schedule.

02

Timed Check-Ins

At each interval, the worker receives a check-in prompt. A single tap confirms they are safe. GPS location is logged with each check-in for a complete audit trail.

03

Missed Check-In Detection

If a check-in is missed, the system immediately begins the escalation protocol. The first-tier supervisor is notified within seconds, with the worker's last known location.

04

Escalation & Response

If the supervisor cannot confirm the worker's safety, the alert escalates through the chain — from site leads to safety managers to emergency services — until the situation is resolved.

Device & Hardware Integrations

Hardware-agnostic by design. Use your team's existing smartphones and pair with industry-standard safety devices.

RKI GX-3R Pro

4-gas portable monitor with BLE. Detects H₂S, CO, O₂, and LEL.

Blackline G7c

Connected safety wearable with gas detection and fall detection.

iOS & Android

Native mobile app leveraging built-in GPS, accelerometer, and BLE.

Satellite Devices

Garmin inReach and similar devices for beyond-cell coverage.

Built for Canadian Compliance

Every province in Canada has specific legislation requiring employers to protect workers who work alone or in isolation. WAM is designed from the ground up to meet and exceed these requirements, providing the documentation and audit trail your safety program needs.

How a Check-In Works

A step-by-step walkthrough of the Work Alone Monitor check-in flow — from clock-in to escalation.

1
1

Worker Clocks In

The worker opens the WAM app, selects their job site, and starts their shift. GPS location is captured and the first check-in timer begins.

Location verified against known job sites
2
2

Timer Countdown

A visible countdown timer runs on the worker's device. At the configured interval (e.g., every 30 minutes), the app prompts the worker to confirm they are safe.

Push notification + audible alert

3

Worker Confirms Safety

The worker taps 'I'm OK' to confirm their status. GPS coordinates are logged, the timer resets, and the supervisor dashboard updates in real time.

One-tap confirmation — no forms

4

Missed Check-In → Escalation

If the worker doesn't respond within the grace period, the system automatically escalates: first to the designated supervisor, then to the emergency contact chain.

SMS, phone call, and email alerts

5

SOS Override

At any time, the worker can trigger the SOS panic button. This bypasses the normal escalation timeline and immediately alerts all emergency contacts with GPS coordinates.

Shift Complete

When the shift ends, the worker clocks out. A complete log of all check-ins, GPS locations, and any incidents is automatically saved for compliance records.
